First weekend in paradise

This weekend started off a little sad with Aunty Maggie saying goodbye while we got on the bus Saturday on our way to the Market and to leave Hilo. Aunty Maggie is an amazing person and it was really sad to say goodbye after only a short week. After the water works we all went to the market and I was able to get some souvenirs. We were running a bit late for our flight, but we caught it and made in to Honolulu safely. We landed around 1 pm, and went straight to Frear Hall to check in. After check in we walked down to 7-11 to get our bus passes and then a local grocery store for some necessities. When we got back to the Hall we went to dinner (the food here is only a little better than Hilo, at least the cafe is open longer though). It was about 630 when we left to catch a bus to the Ala Mona fireworks. It was very busy and hectic. The fireworks were only 20 minutes long and not as BIG or constant as Bay City, even though they were supposed to be like 4th best in the nation, I don't believe it. The bus ride back was horrible. It took us about 2 hours and we were stuck in traffic the whole time. Sunday was amazing! We (6 of us girls) went SHOPPING! Don't worry Mommy, I didn't spend too much. The mall at Ala Mona was huge and had every high end store EVER, that's probably why people think HI is so expensive. When didn't get back from that until 4pm, so we had dinner and went to Waikiki Beach to swim and watch the sun set. It was gorgeous, the best sunset I have ever seen! I will chat with ya later!
